To provide personalized AI profiling and matching services, we collect the following types of information:

  • Account Information: Email address, password hash, display name, birth date, gender, hometown, and current city.
  • Profiling & Chat Data: Messages and interactions with our AI Profiling Advisor (Nona), generated Enneagram types, wings, instinctual subtypes, and supporting evidence derived from your conversations.
  • Match & Social Interactions: Match preferences ("Looking For"), outgoing and incoming connection requests, blocked users, and messages exchanged with matched users.
  • Location Data (Optional): Geographic location (coordinates) if enabled, used solely to show nearby events and measure distance between compatible matches.
  • Device & Technical Data: Push notification tokens (Firebase Cloud Messaging / FCM), IP address, operating system, and app diagnostic logs.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information strictly for the following purposes:

  • AI Personality Profiling: Analyzing your natural conversations with our AI advisor to accurately determine your Enneagram type and psychological insights.
  • Compatibility Matching: Running our proprietary Enneagram compatibility algorithms to suggest compatible friends, connections, or partners.
  • Service Functionality: Delivering real-time messaging, presence indicators (online status), and push notifications.
  • Event Recommendations: Displaying virtual and physical events tailored to your interests and geographic area.
  • Security & Safety: Preventing spam, unauthorized access, and maintaining a respectful community environment.

4. AI Processing & Third-Party LLMs

CoreNine utilizes state-of-the-art Large Language Model (LLM) APIs (such as OpenAI and Google Gemini SDKs) to power our AI advisor. Your chat interactions with the AI advisor are processed securely via encrypted connections solely to generate personality profiles. We do not sell your personal conversations or profiling data to third parties, nor do we use your private data to train public AI models.

5. Information Sharing & Visibility

Your privacy is controlled by you. Here is how your information is visible within the platform:

  • Public/Match Profile: Other users can see your display name, avatar, hometown, city, bio, and Enneagram type (if enabled as visible in your settings).
  • Private Data: Your raw conversations with the AI advisor remain confidential and are never exposed directly to other users. Only summarized evidence and Enneagram metrics are reflected in your profile.
  • Third-Party Infrastructure: We share necessary data with trusted cloud providers (e.g., PostgreSQL database hosting, Redis cache, Firebase for notifications) bound by strict confidentiality obligations.

6. Data Security

We implement robust technical and organizational security measures to safeguard your information:

  • All network communications are encrypted using Transport Layer Security (TLS/SSL).
  • Sensitive configuration keys and stored secrets use AES-256-GCM encryption.
  • Passwords are securely hashed using industry-standard algorithms before storage.

7. Data Retention & Account Deletion

We retain your personal information for as long as your account remains active. You have the right to request the deletion of your account and all associated data at any time.

To request complete account and data deletion, you can:

  • Submit a deletion request via the settings menu in the CoreNine mobile application, or
  • Contact our privacy team directly at [email protected]. Upon verification, your profile, chat history, and match records will be permanently removed from our active databases.
